—Larkin plans a ‘friendly’ game of “BYU Clue” for Ward FHE, but controversy breaks out when some players are accused of cheating– a surprisingly typical occurrence when it comes to ward activities.

Background

Planning an activity for the entire ward is no easy task, but in this episode, Larkin managed to pull something together that was quite unique! The rules of the game were almost exactly like the real game of Clue, except instead of finding:

  • a murderer
  • the weapon,
  • and the scene of the crime

…each time was enlisted to find:

  • which adult was supposed to have been watching the Reeves girls
  • what the girls’ distraction was
  • where they had gone missing

Unfortunately, as mentioned at the end of the episode by Katey, it seems that controversy and ward activities seem to go hand-in-hand, and as a former FHE leader, I can certainly attest to that. Let it be clarified, though, that no actual proof of cheating was ever discovered, so  this whole thing was probably just a result of mis-communication.
